Chapter Five + - Pop 3 Email Settings for MS Outlook

MS Outlook 97 - WINDOWS 95/98/NT

To configure Outlook 97 for Windows to receive your email follow these steps:

1. Open Outlook and select Services from the Tools menu:

   

   
   

2. Select the Service Tab
3. Select the Add Option
4. Select Internet Email service and hit OK

   

5. Select the General Tab
   • Name = Your Name
   • Organization = Organization
   • Email Address = username@yourdomain.com (.net, .org)
   • Return Address = username@yourdomain.com (.net, .org)
   • Mail Server (Incoming) = yourdomain.com (.net, .org)
   • User Name = username

   

   
   

6. Select the Servers Tab
   • Outgoing Mail (SMTP) = SMTP server for your ISP
   • Incoming Mail (POP3) = yourdomain.com (.net, .org)
   • Account Name = Your account username
   • Password = Your account password
