The good folks at Kodak have put a lot (a lot) of money into research to improve their products. They put them through batteries of well controlled test, both in laboratory and in the real world. Sometimes they collect the results of these tests into articles recommending certain practices. The depth of articles on the Kodak web site ranges from the highly technical to the almost obvious, but it does span a large amount of information.
The only negative thing I can say about the Kodak publications is that they are so complete it can be difficult to find just what you're looking for. Some of the highlights I've found are collected here, sometimes condensed, or edited. All credit and copyright belongs to Kodak, so I would ask that if you find this information useful you rememeber where it comes from, and hopefully you will understand that your purchases from pioneering companies such as Fuji and Kodak wind up funding research which ultimately makes its way back to you.
